About Bust Filter

The narrative is the thing being tested.

A player can have a strong box score and weaker underlying execution. A player can struggle statistically while the surrounding context tells a more complicated story.

Bust Filter exists to make that distinction easier to see. It evaluates specific, evidence-supported parts of a performance and makes the limits visible.

Bust Filter evaluates the narrative, not the player. One game cannot establish whether someone is or is not a “bust.”
